Josephine Baker dancing in her signature banana skirt is arguably the most famous image from Colin's portfolio La Tumulte Noir, which consisted of 48, pochoir-colored plates and printed in a limited edition of 500 copies. La Tumulte Noir was Colin's visual tribute to the "Black Craze" that swept through Paris in the 1920s, forever altering the artistic and social landscape of that great city.
